Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky power outages

After last night's powerful storm that surged across the Tri-State, many homes are now without power.

Roughly 54,000 Duke Energy customers throughout Ohio and Kentucky have reported outages — 45,861 Ohio customers are without power and there are 8,226 outages in Kentucky as of 9 a.m. on April 9.

The massive storm brought damaging winds, heavy rains and hail, along with tornado warnings, watches and sirens to add a little more excitement to our already eventful year.

Duke Energy has an interactive map on their website where you can report your outage and see where other outages have been reported. If you zoom in to the individual reports, you can find out the "estimated time of restoration," which doesn't appear to be all that promising, as most estimations read things along the lines of "additional repairs required," "estimated time of restoration is being updated." County reports note "repairs and damage assessment underway."
