Imagine a fantastic true story that feels like it can’t be real. In 1959, toiling away at a newspaper, Ed Myers (Giovanni Ribisi) pens a letter to Ernest Hemingway (Adrian Sparks) that gets sent by a co-worker to Havana, Cuba, where the great writer enjoys a life of unparalleled celebrity and a sense of self-satisfaction. Papa Hemingway invites Myers down for a visit, and something special and quite miraculous takes root, all against the backdrop of the rising revolution. Producer Bob Yari (Crash) steps behind the camera for only the second time in his career to bring this tale to life. (Opens Friday at the Mariemont Theatre) (R) Not screened in time for review
