Paul McCartney Wants Your Art!

Ever listened to Paul McCartney’s first two solo albums and thought, “Wow, these are so great, I want to reinterpret them artistically”? If that’s you (or if you’re just looking for a bit of self-promotion), you could win some cool prizes by entering your McCartney-inspired artwork into a unique contest judged by Sir Paul himself.—-

Any and all visual artistes are welcome to enter. The only boundaries are that the artwork must relate to McCartney (which featured the hit, “Maybe I’m Amazed”) and McCartney II (“Coming Up”), which were recently reissued in an expanded, remastered format. McCartney will select the winner and your work will be framed and made into a high-quality lithograph, signed by Paul, displayed at London’s Idea Generation gallery and then given back to you. The winner also gets some McCartney merch and $1000 (not to mention some pretty groovy exposure). If you're victorious, you'll also get ticket to one of Paul's show and a chance to meet the music legend.

McCartney says, “"Have fun with this competition. I look forward to seeing the amazing artwork that you are all going to produce and I encourage you to feel free and basically have a scribbling good time.”

Use the portal below (courtesy of Talenthouse) to find out more info and how to submit. You can also check out some of the entries so far. The deadline for submissions is Aug. 16 and the winner will be announced Sept. 14. If you need some more inspiration, check out the promo clips for the rereleases below.
