Jack Frost (Chris Pine) joins North (Alec Baldwin), Tooth (Isla Fisher) and Bunny (Hugh Jackman) in what amounts to a fairy tale version of The Avengers. One quietly noteworthy element behind the scenes of Rise of the Guardians is the presence of Peter Ramsey at the helm. The long-time art director (Fight Club and Minority Report) is the first African-American director of a potential animated franchise. Now in theaters. (PG) Not screened for review
