“The method of funding public education in Ohio is complicated, uneven and unconstitutional … in part,” says an announcement about the event in the League’s January newsletter. “Learn the basics of funding education in Ohio in a fun, interesting and helpful session. You’ll participate in small groups to map where the funds come from, where they go and why there are problems.”
The only way education funding is going to be fair — and not based on the political power of a handful of elected officials — is if ordinary citizens get involved. Here’s a place to begin!
