Scott Jones finds ways to reap multiple rewards from everything he does. He works at The Palace Restaurant in The Cincinnatian Hotel, which also happens to be the location of his pig, Don Pigiovanni.

"The restaurant world keeps the bills paid and keeps me sane (financially)," Jones says. "The art world keeps me from going crazy in the restaurant world."

A professional artist for 12 years, Jones has displayed his work in local galleries and in Key West, Michigan and Cape Cod. "I take my vacations and do my shows at the same time," he says. (Hey, don't knock it 'cause you didn't think of it first.)

David Herriman, an acquaintance for several years, sponsored Jones' creation for the Big Pig Gig. For the past five years, Jones' focus in his work as been opera theater, so Pigiovanni was a perfect fit with his ongoing efforts.

His focus is shifting towards more architectural paintings, but Jones has done a variety of work.

Overall, he says, "As long as the art world keeps offering me the challenges to keep creating, I will certainly do so." And he'll keep finding creative ways for his work to reward him, too.
