Ultimate Fighting is the fastest-growing sport in the world. That’s because it is pretty wild to watch dudes trained in numerous different fighting styles — from boxing to jiu jitsu to wrestling to straight up face-punching — go at it with very few rules. Saturday’s “ICF: Breakout” card includes seven amateur matches and eight pro fights, including locals Victor O’Donnell, Chad Hinton and T.J. Ball. O’Donnell and Hinton are new professionals who have combined for nine wins and no losses, while Ball is one of several area amateurs looking to make the leap at some point. Also scheduled to compete are three former cast members of Spike TV’s The Ultimate Fighter reality show: Shonie Carter (Season 4), Dan Christison (Season 2) and Luke Zachrich (Season 7). Ohio’s athletic commission regulated more MMA competitions than that of any other state last year, proving that it’s not just people in Colerain who like fighting — the interest is widespread among our state. $38-$78.
