We are led to believe that an all-star lineup from the previous Step Up movies comes together for this one-time battle royale-style event in Las Vegas, which will end up crowning the kings and queens of street dancing kingdom. However, director Trish Sie (the video short “OK Go: Oh No Special Edition”), writer John Swetnam (Into the Storm) and Duane Adler (credited with creating the series characters) don’t have Channing Tatum lurking in the wings, so Step Up All In really isn’t all in, right? Not without the magic man, but they are ready to give it everything else they’ve got to dazzle and entertain us with moves that inspired crews to believe that they could dance and dream of making it big. After the 3D mob scene of the previous installment, I assumed it might be time to retire. Short of dancing on the moon (and that’s merely a hypothetical idea, not a premise I want to see onscreen next time), what’s left to do? Now in theaters. (PG-13) Not screened in time for review
