Dramedies have overtaken the indie summer season. Newbie writer-director Josh Boone steps up with Stuck in Love, which examines the life of a successful writer (Greg Kinnear), his ex-wife and their children as each finds themselves caught up in tangled web of love and emotion. With a cast that includes Kristen Bell, Logan Lerman, Lily Collins and Jennifer Connelly, audiences should expect an almost literary marriage of the drama and comedic elements, with more shaded subtlety and less of the broad hijinks typical of old school situation comedies.
