Ohio's primary election was originally supposed to wrap up with in-person voting March 17, but a last-minute order by Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health closing polls amid concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in an extension of absentee voting (aka voting by mail) until April 28.

These are the unofficial results released by the Hamilton County Board of Elections. Provisional ballots and absentee ballots postmarked by April 27 and received by May 8 still need to be counted. An official tally will be released in the coming days.

In terms of results, as Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders had already dropped out of the race to claim the Democratic Party's nomination to take on President Donald Trump in November, there wasn't a ton at stake here. According to the unofficial tally in Hamilton County, former Vice President Joe Biden received 72 percent of the votes (55,956), while Sanders got around 18 percent (13,721). Andrew Yang also got 45 write-ins.
