It looks like animated kids movies are taking a page from the world of comic books. What happens when a freak accident transforms a lowly garden snail nicknamed Turbo (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) into a hyper-speedster who decides it is time to pursue his dream of entering the Indy 500? Yes, apparently snails dream fast rather than big. Turbo sounds like it should zip along though thanks to a vocal cast including Paul Giamatti, Maya Rudolph and Samuel L. Jackson (talk about a bunch of motor mouths, right?). Now in theaters. (PG) Not screened in time for review.
