We are in the midst of a strange fascination with the life and times of the dinosaur (could it be some sense that we, humans, have crossed the point of no return along the path to extinction?), and what better way to explore the idea than to make light of it through animation? This quaint tale from directors Barry Cook (Arthur Christmas) and Neil Nightingale (Enchanted Kingdom 3D) tracks the rise of an underdog dino who becomes a hero, but is being hyped as an “immersive experience” that drops viewers into this lost age. Somebody cue up the Was (Not Was) hit, Everybody Walk the Dinosaur. Opens wide Dec. 20. (PG) Not screened in time for review
