Wet Weather Forecasted for Greater Cincinnati This Week

Expect rain, thunderstorms and possible flooding this week, per the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting a wet week ahead for the Greater Cincinnati area.

According to the current forecast, rain and thunderstorms are expected to move in Tuesday morning and continue through Friday morning. The NWS outpost in Wilmington, Ohio also Tweeted that the storms could cause heavy rain and localized flooding. As of now, there are no predictions for severe weather.

Here's the forecast through the rest of the week:

Monday
  • It will be mostly cloudy through the day and into the evening.
  • The high will be 85 degrees with a low of 65 degrees.
Tuesday
  • There's a 70% chance of showers during the day, with a 60% chance of rain and 50% chance of storms on Tuesday night.
  • The National Weather Service says, "New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible."
  • The high will be 80 degrees with a low of 71 degrees.
Wednesday
  • Showers and thunderstorms continue Wednesday morning and into the afternoon, with an 80% chance of precipitation and possible new rainfall accumulation between a half- and three-quarters of an inch.
  • Rain continues into the evening and overnight, with the chance of precipitation remaining at 80% and the chance of thunderstorms at 50%.
  • The projected possible new rainfall overnight is between a tenth and quarter of an inch. That amount could increase if there are thunderstorms.
  • The high will be 86 degrees with a low of 70 degrees.
Thursday
  • There's a 50% chance of thunderstorms early Thursday morning and after 1 p.m., with a chance of showers between.
  • The high will be 85 degrees with a low of 67 degrees.
Friday
  • There's a 40% chance of rain during the morning, followed by partly sunny conditions.
  • There will be a high of 83 degrees and a low of 63 degrees.
