Hair salons and barbershops were allowed to reopen in the state of Ohio today and it seems like people have crawled out of their quarantine bunkers like a bunch of hirsute slobs looking for a groomin'. Because, as of right now, if you were interested in popping into a SportClips or Great Clips, ya can't. Most locations have a least a two-hour wait, except the Great Clips in Blue Ash, which has a 105-minute wait at the time this was published.
You can read the full Responsible RestartOhio sector-specific guidelines for salons and barbershops here, but one can be fairly certain that if you're waiting for a haircut, you will not be waiting inside. To ensure social distancing, the salon and barbershop safety guidelines recommend people wait outside or in their cars until their appointment time.
And if you're planning to get your hair done today, be prepared to wait.— Bill Rinehart (@BillGRinehart) May 15, 2020
New Ohio guidelines mean only staff and those in the seat are inside.
