Neltner’s Farm Neltner’s 2021 Fall Fest will be held Sept. 25-Oct. 31. Weekdays, you can head to the pumpkin patch, explore a 3-acre corn maze, visit the petting zoo, ride the barrel train or shop the fall farm stand. All weekday activities are available on weekends with bonus craft vendors and artisans, horse-drawn wagon rides, live music, tastings from local wineries, homemade ice cream and food from Four Mile Pig. Concerts take place 1:30-4:30 p.m. and you can find the full schedule of performers online. Leashed pets allowed. 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. SATURDAY OCT. 17 HallZOOween The annual HallZOOween festival is going ahead this year, with some COVID precautions in place. “We’ve had to reimagine most of our events this year for the safety of visitors and staff,” said Cincinnati Zoo director Thane Maynard. “For HallZOOween, we’ll be offering pre-stuffed treat bags instead of inviting kids to trick or treat at multiple stations around the Zoo. We’re also limiting attendance to ensure that Voldemort and Harry Potter and can stay a zebra length apart on Zoo grounds.” Kids ages 2-12 will get a voucher for a free, pre-filled treat bag; animals will get special pumpkins; the Hogwart's Express train and Scare-ousel will be running; and festive fall food will be available. FRIDAY 25 Nihilist Arby's at Northside Yacht Club As Nietzsche once said, "God is dead." But beef and cheddars are not. They exist and proof can be found Friday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Oct. 2 at Northside Yacht Club's Nihilist Arby's pop-up, the first of its kind. NSYC has crafted a menu to mimic the Arby's menu (obviously, otherwise it would be named something else) with 24-hour sous-vide dry-rubbed then braised beef, Sixteen Brick onion rolls and mornay sauce made with UrbanStead cheese. They are also offering Restaurant Depot curly fries, "because you can’t improve on perfection," says co-owner Stuart MacKenzie. "Just kidding perfection is a myth designed create unattainable goals that reinforces hegemonic norms and power structures."
