Winter. Generally cold. Possibly snowy. Gets dark at like 4 p.m. Unfortunately, unlike bears — who can hibernate up to seven months without eating, drinking or peeing — humans have to stay awake in January and February.

We have no adaptation to recycle our urine back into our bodies, plus eating and drinking is fun. What’s not fun is going outside in the ice and wind (unless you’re into winter sports?), so we’ve collected a few ideas to help keep you busy and warm inside while it sucks in the world beyond your window panes.
