Cincinnati native Antonio “L.A.” Reid is a music executive, songwriter, musician and producer who started his career in the 1970s as part of the local Funk Rock outfit Pure Essence. He would later discover and/or work with some of the biggest names in popular music, a list that includes Boyz II Men, Toni Braxton, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Pink, Rihanna, Usher and Kanye West. And now he’s chronicling his long and winding career in a memoir called Sing to Me: My Story of Making Music, Finding Magic and Searching for Who’s Next. Reid visits Joseph-Beth to sign and discuss the book.
