Graeter’s Ice Cream is celebrating its 150th anniversary with several special creations. The dessert shop first released a birthday cake donut and Birthday Cake flavored ice cream — a “blend of cake pieces and sprinkles in cake batter ice cream” — to honor their milestone.
Next, Graeter’s released the first of its limited-time summer Bonus Flavors: Black Forest Cake, “a decadent combination of sweet cherries, dark chocolate and rich cake,” according to a release.
The second bonus flavor of the summer was released today, July 20, and it’s a refreshing change — a classic strawberry sorbet made with special strawberries from the Pacific Northwest.
Each new ice cream is kept top secret until the day of its release. The ice cream is available in scoop shops and online.
The next flavor will be announced in two weeks. The final flavor will be announced on Aug. 17.
