Cincinnati microdistillery Woodstone Creek and Arnold’s Bar & Grill have partnered up to release Hugo Arnold’s Bathtub Gin.

Available Jan. 12, the gin was developed by Woodstone’s master distiller Donald Outterson and was named for Arnold’s Prohibition-era owner Hugo Arnold, who was famously rumored to make gin in the bar and grill’s second-floor bathtub. Woodstone, thankfully, has not made this gin that way but it was similarly created, bottled, boxed, shipped and delivered by one man: Outterson himself. Outterson operates Woodstone with his wife, Linda, in Saint Bernard.

Cincinnatian Kyle Eli Ebersole designed the posters, labels and promotional material.

Arnold’s is celebrating the bottle release with a launch party 5-11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 with live music from Krystal Peterson and The Queen City Band and $5 cocktail specials. Outterson will also be available to answer any and all questions about the gin.
