Fourth of July Jam

Fourth of July Jam

Washington Park is getting in on the family-friendly red, white and blue fun with its Fourth of July Jam, a day of live music, carnival games and a truly jammy screening of The Grateful Dead’s “Fare Thee Well” performance at Soldier Field — celebrating the Dead’s 50th anniversary, as well as the remaining members’ final performance together. Things kick off with live music from The Almighty Get Down at 3 p.m., followed by music from The Infinity Project and Rays Music Exchange. The Dead screening starts at 8 p.m., briefly interrupted by a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. (the Dead simulcast resumes afterward). The Eagle OTR will be hawking $5 chicken sandwiches in the park all day, with additional dining options from food trucks, plus a full bar and craft beer — MadTree, Rhinegeist, Taft’s Ale House and Christian Moerlein — available at the concession stand.

3-10 p.m. Saturday. Free. Washington Park, 1230 Elm St., Over-the-Rhine, washingtonpark.org.
