Alfred Hitchcock scared the bejesus out of folks with his 1963 movie about killer birds. The original story by Daphne du Maurier was more recently adapted by Irish playwright Conor McPherson, a guy who knows his way around creepy stories, including his The Weir and The Seafarer (produced at local theaters in past seasons). Set in Cornwall as the weather turns wintry, it’s the story of relentless and malicious attacks by seagulls that eventually threaten all of Britain. It’s a perfect thriller to get you ready for the Halloween season, something Cincy Shakes strives to do annually.
