Calling all frontline workin’ foodies: The Food Network’s Chopped cooking show wants to highlight folks making a difference in the community — who can also whip up some exceptional eats in the kitchen — and put their talents to the test.
The show is currently casting four frontline workers within a six-hour drive of Knoxville, Tennessee to compete to win $10,000. (Cincinnati is just about four hours away, in case you were wondering).
According to the casting posters provided on jscasting.com, they are looking for “all types of frontline workers,” a term many of us have become quite familiar with since the advent of the coronavirus pandemic. Frontline workers can include, but are not limited to health care members, first responders, food service employees, delivery services, etc. However, the casting website does not specifically identify who they consider frontline workers.
The casting application includes questions like “how did you learn to cook?” and “what are your specialities?” It also asks for applicants to attach three photos of dishes they’ve created.
