Hard seltzers have made their presence known over the past year or two: New brands like White Claw and Truly have emerged; companies like Corona and Smirnoff have created their own iterations; and even local breweries have tapped into the popular beverage, including Covington-based Braxton and its line of VIVE seltzers.
So, it was only a matter of time until a festival devoted to the boozy, bubbly stuff was created.
Oakley’s Fowling Warehouse — an entertainment franchise that capitalizes on the bowling-meets-football tailgating game — is hosting the inaugural Cincy Seltzer Fest at their 47,000-square-foot establishment on Saturday, Nov. 28 with three sessions held throughout the day.
The event will feature 12 different hard seltzer brands including Truly, White Claw, Bud Light, Bud Light Platinum, Smirnoff, Pabst Blue Ribbon, Natural Light, Corona, Coors, Vizzy and Press, each with a variety of flavors.
The organizers have developed safety protocols to keep their guests healthy, which include limited ticket sales, distanced tables, mandatory mask wearing when walking around, and temperature checks upon entry. The event will also have a professional cleaning company sanitizing surfaces between the sessions.
“We are excited and honored to be hosting the first-ever Seltzer Fest in Cincinnati,” said warehouse owner Joe Frank in a press release. “Because of the size of our venue (47,000 sq/ft warehouse) we pride ourselves on hosting events that focus on social distancing, safety, being responsible, all while having a unique experience with a lot of fun!”
Each ticket includes 10 hard seltzer tastings, 2 can tickets and range in price from $49.99 for a table for two guests to $99 for a table for four guests or $179.99 for a table for eight guests. Event-goers can also opt for the $349 VIP package for 10 people, which includes a fowling lane with the aforementioned features, plus two buckets of seltzers for the table.
Session times are 11 a.m.-2 p.m., 3-6 p.m. and 7-10 p.m.
