In true 2020 fashion, last year’s Fountain Square holiday tree was very Charlie Brownish. This year, however, the tradition has returned to its full glory.

The 2020 65-foot Norway Spruce apparently had a rough voyage to the Queen City and looked slightly sparse, causing an influx of light-hearted buzz on the social media channels including the creation of the FountainSquareTree Twitter account.

But for 2021, the Fountain Square tree looks full and beautiful after making its arrival in the square over the weekend. The 56-foot Norway Spruce Macy’s Holiday tree was lowered by a crane and topped with a Macy’s red star.

See the tree and all its glory and enjoy ice skating and bumper cars at the square. Grab some concessions at the rink-side warming tent that feature snacks and drinks, including boozy beverages. Masks are required inside the tent when not eating or drinking.
