The Hamilton County Board of Elections (BOE) is looking for registered voters to help work the polls for Ohio’s May 6 primary and special election.
Precinct Election Officials (PEOs) can earn between $225 and $275 for training, set-up and working the polls on Election Day. To qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen; a registered and active voter in Hamilton County; be comfortable using electronic technology; and be able to read, write and speak fluently in English. You cannot be a convicted felon or a candidate for any office being voted on at the polling place in this election.
High school students aged 17 or older may also apply, says Hamilton County BOE Director Sherry Poland.
In Hamilton County, the BOE is especially looking for PEOs in these areas:
Registered Republicans:
- Springfield Township
- Woodlawn
- Blue Ash
- Anderson Township
Registered Democrats:
- Delhi Township
- Miami Township
- Green Township
