Summer ‘24 is shaping up to be a ‘90s revival with groups like New Kids on the Block, Creed and now Hootie & the Blowfish bringing their tours to Cincinnati.

The iconic ‘90s pop-rock band will stop at Riverbend Music Center on their “Summer Camp with Trucks” tour on Friday, June 7, and they’re bringing Collective Soul and Edwin McCain with them. This 43-city tour marks the band’s first since their “Group Therapy” tour in 2019.

Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld formed Hootie & the Blowfish when they were students at the University of South Carolina. Since then, the Grammy-award-winning band has had a chart-topping career, with hits like “Hold My Hand,” “Only Wanna Be With You” and “Let Her Cry” and sold more than 25 million albums, including their 2x Diamond-certified debut album, Cracked Rear View, which is among the top 10 best-selling albums in all of music history.

“Basically overnight, our lives changed when Cracked Rear View did what it did — and yet as we quickly moved from vans and college bars to tour busses and arenas, not much else changed with how we approached making music and sharing it with our fans,” Bryan said in a press release. “Edwin McCain told someone at the time that touring with us felt like summer camp with trucks, and that’s exactly how we want next year to feel, too. We can’t wait for you to join us!”

Tickets for Summer Camp with Trucks go on sale Friday, Nov. 10 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com and riverbend.org. Presale access for Hootie & the Blowfish e-newsletter subscribers begins Tuesday, Nov. 7 at noon and goes until Thursday, Nov. 9 at 10 p.m. at hootie.com. Citi card members will also have access to presale tickets during that timeframe through Citi’s Entertainment program.
