A pizzeria that opened fewer than six months ago in Milford is looking for a new owner.
Josh and Nicole House, who also own and operate Milford barbecue restaurant Pickles & Bones, opened their pizza concept, Daughter’s Pizza Kitchen, in February. But, on social media last week, the Houses explained that life circumstances were leading them to sell the restaurant. Nicole says she recently accepted a job with the Milford School District’s Nutrition Services Department and she and Josh would no longer have time for the pizzeria.
“This wasn’t planned, but sometimes when opportunity knocks unexpectedly you open the door. Josh will continue to run Pickles & Bones BBQ, which is also growing, and has a new menu and [extended] hours in the works. We just can’t do it all,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
Instead, the Houses are hoping to pass the pizzeria along to someone who has the time and energy for it. Daughter’s Pizza Kitchen is now for sale as a turnkey asset, and its last day of service will be July 26.
If you’re interested in buying, the Houses are asking $71,000, which will include all of the restaurant’s assets and branding, as well as its digital presence and goodwill. The kitchen includes a Pizza Master oven, proofer, spiral mixer, walk-in, reach-in coolers and pizza prep station. The buyer will also receive all of Daughter’s Pizza Kitchen’s recipes, its POS system, signage, training docs and standard operating procedures.
The restaurant’s building at 1149 OH-131 comes with a monthly $975 lease and includes free parking. The Houses will also offer up to 50 hours of training and support.
