The Reds lost to the Brewers 10-7 on Sept. 4, but not without a few highlights.

In the first inning, Elly De La Cruz drove in Dane Myers, who had singled, stole second base, and scored from there. In the top half of the second inning, Dane Myers leaped against the wall and robbed Brewer’s Sal Frelick of a two-run home run.

Matt McLain then hit a two-run homer. In the bottom half of the inning. Eugenio Suarez hit a three-run homer in the third inning with Elly De La Cruz and Tyler Stephenson on the bases. It was Suarez’s first home run as a US citizen. But disaster struck in the 5th inning when the Brewers scored five runs against reds starter Rhett Lowder and reliever Sam Moll.

Brewers scored again in the sixth inning, while the Reds scored a run in the seventh with another RBI by the league leader Sal Stewart (his 106th for the season).
