There’s pretty much an Easter egg hunt everywhere you’ll turn this weekend in Cincinnati, which of course comes with Easter Bunny photo opportunities and sightings. For some more intense fun, the Cincinnati Rollergirls’ home opener is also on the calendar, celebrated in partnership with Cincinnati Pride. It’s also the season to plant a tree, which the Common Orchard Project facilitates through volunteer opportunities. Or, if you or someone you know has fantastic facial hair, West Side Brewing is hosting a beard competition.

ARThropod will reveal the diversity and intricacy of the insect world through the varied talents of each artist. The exhibition runs through April 29. 6-9 p.m. April 7. Bellevue has something a bit different (the term is different because it’s a different state), but the concept is the same. The Bellevue Entertainment District (BED) allows those over 21 to roam with open containers as they shop. The BED opened in November 2019 between O’Fallon Avenue and Riviera Drive on Fairfield Avenue. Hours of operation are noon-11 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. BED patrons must purchase a reusable cup for 50 cents from a participating business. Photo: Liz DavisThe Pink Party at Woodward Theater

3044 Harrison Ave., Westwood
The aptly named West Side Brewing was the West Side’s first brewery. Since opening its doors in 2017, the brewery has offered a spot for the community to grab a drink, catch up with old friends (or make some new ones) and spend time with family of all ages. West Side offers a wide selection of its craft beers and cider that are rotated out seasonally, including some experimental IPAs. And with a packed event calendar and visiting food trucks, you can spend your whole day here! Photo: Megan WaddellBircus Brewing Co.
322 Elm St., Ludlow
Ludlow, Kentucky’s nonexistent craft beer scene sent in the clowns, leading to the launch of Bircus Brewing Co., a branch of an original concept from Ghent, Belgium. Pronounce it like “beer-cuss,” a hybrid of beer and circus, as the brew shares the limelight with carnival performances at the taproom. Performers can do everything from breathe fire to fly on the trapeze.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 8
The Common Orchard Project is a local initiative that has been regrowing “common land” since 2017. This weekend, the project and volunteers focus on the Camp Washington Perennial Farm. The Common Orchard Project focuses on transforming green space into fresh food and community resource sources, which are then maintained by locals. This weekend’s planting will bring apple trees, blackberries, pawpaw, persimmon trees and more to Camp Washington. 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 8. 3220 Colerain Ave., Camp Washington, commonorchard.com.
