My Furry Valentine, the area’s largest pet adoption event, takes place at the Sharonville Convention Center Saturday, Feb. 15 and Sunday, Feb. 16. More than 1,000 adoptable animals from multiple rescue agencies around Greater Cincinnati will be in one location to make finding the perfect pet as easy as possible.

From dogs, cats, kittens and puppies to other little critters, all sorts of animals in need of a permanent and loving home will be available to meet and greet and some will even be available to take home that day. Each adoption agency has their own prices and requirements, so fees, applications and waiting times may vary.

He loves to cuddle with his foster mom by being the “little spoon” and sleeping with his nose in her neck. Lucy is 8-years-old and weighs 40#. Her breed is unknown. Your guess is as good as ours. Lucy has not been socialized with many people so she barks at people she does not know. She has already made significant improvements in her foster home. Strangers can now pet her, but whoever adopts her will need to continue to work with, and socialize her. Lucy LOVES to go for walks. Phoebe Champagne Age: 3 years old / Breed: Boston Terrier Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Stray Haven “Phoebe is a foster favorite. She is about 3 years old and is a Boston terrier mix. She loves her family and is sweet and calm. She does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but when she initially meets a new dog she can be very opinionated. We feel that it is important that she doesn’t go to a home with an alpha dog because it could start things off on the wrong paw. Derrick Age: 5 years old / Breed: Feist/Schipperke Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) “Derrick was rescued from a high kill shelter in WV, is super dog-friendly, very sweet, and loves to cuddle! He enjoys chasing cats but believes it to be a game and is not aggressive towards them. The foster he had before coming to HART also indicated he’s housebroken. An x-ray shows that Derrick had been shot at one time, fragments still remain, but do not cause him any issues. To top that off, during Derrick’s dental cleaning, a tumor was found in his upper jaw. The biopsy revealed an aggressive type of cancer called Acanthomatous epulis. Derrick went under an additional surgery to remove the entire tumor and some of his upper jaw. The next biopsy showed that the entire tumor was removed so now Derrick is ready for his new loving, forever home!!” Photo via

Farah rubs up against you purring as you pet her. Farah comes when you call her and even talks a little. Farah enjoys looking out the window and playing. She loves playing by herself, with other cats and her human. She loves tall cat trees, wet food, ribbons on a wand, toys moving under a blanket and toys that she can bat across the floor.
