Casey
Age: 6 years old / Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog/Australian Cattle Dog Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: HART Animal Rescue
“Meet Casey, a 6 year old 45 pound Catahoula/Cattle Dog mix rescued from a Kentucky shelter. Casey was pregnant when she first came to HART, and now that her pups have been weaned, it’s time for her to find her very own furever home! If you are interested in Casey, please fill out an application at rescueahart.org.”

Age: 3 years old / Breed: Chihuahua/Wire Haired Terrier Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART)
“This little lady is scared upon first meeting new people and will take a day or so to warm up. Once she feels safe, she’s the perfect cuddle buddy and would prefer to sleep in her human’s bed at night. Willow gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t seem to mind cats at all.”

Age: Young / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Female / Rescue: Ashland Animal Rescue Fund
“Theres something very special about me…the volunteers think Im beautiful…I have lots of spunk and personality…and Im ready to be yours…”
Photo viaBooBoo
Age: 12 years old / Breed: Chihuahua mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
“Hi, my name is BooBoo. I was well-loved by my mother but then she passed away. Luckily Halo was able to rescue me and my bother Yogi. I am a chihuahua mix and while I may be 12 years young, I have lots of love left to give. I am a little shy at the beginning but when I realize you are going to love me, I truly warm up. I am crate trained but would rather be out to cuddle on the couch or be with you.”
Photo viaCooper
Age: 3 years old / Breed: Golden Retriever/Pyrenees Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART)
“Cooper is a very handsome 3 year old, who was surrendered because his owners were moving, and they were unable to bring him with them. Cooper appears to be very mellow and is good with other dogs and kids but has yet to be cat tested.”
Photo viaWednesday Adams
Age: 2 years old / Breed: Rabbit / Sex: Female / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
“If you’ve been looking for a bunny companion, look no further than Wednesday Adams. At 2 years old, her previous family could no longer take care of her, so she ended up in rescue. Named so because of her beautiful gothic black and white markings, Wednesday loves to spend her day exploring her environment, snacking on hay, and then waiting for her nightly salad servings.”
Photo viaQueen
Age: 4 years old / Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier/American Bully Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Furgotten Dog Rescue
“Her personality is the sweetest! She is loving, cuddly, and obedient. All she wants is to be next to you. Queen is dog and kid-friendly. She goes to doggy daycare! Queen is crate and house trained but does not need crated. She is not destructive outside of her crate. Queen walks excellent on a leash!”

Age: Puppy / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Male / Rescue: Ashland Animal Rescue Fund
“Oh dont let this face fool you…I love to romp and play with my friends!! Im so full of life and love and long for a family to finally be mine…forever…please come meet me!!!”
Photo viaTheo
Age: 1 years old / Breed: Mixed / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
“His foster mom named him Theo, meaning divine gift in Greek as there seemed to be no other fitting name for him. Theo is a dog who has been through much in his short 13 mo of life and has remained loving, trusting, and open to people and dogs. Everyone Theo meets is forever changed by his presence. He loves to cuddle with his foster mom by being the little spoon and sleeping with his nose in her neck. Theo has the potential of being a pet-assisted therapy dog, or even something more for the right human. He is good with kids and other dogs, but a little too interested in cats.”
Photo viaPete
Age: 11 years old / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
“Hi, My name is Peter Pan, but my closest of friends call me Pete. I am 11 years young, I use to live with a family that had kids, but they moved and unfortunately couldnt take me with them. Cuddling and snuggling are my favorite things to do and I love treats. When my foster mom takes me for rides in the car, Im not a big fan, so I talk a lot and she tells me not to back seat drive.”
Photo viaCookie
Age: 3 years old / Breed: Pomeranian/Chow Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Furgotten Dog Rescue
“Cookie here! I am finally ready for adoption now that all of my medical issues are taken care of. I have chronic bronchitis, but I have not coughed or needed my medicine in months! I am dog, cat, and kid-friendly. I am allowed to wrestle and play, but I cannot do any vigorous exercise like running because of the damage done from the heartworm disease. I love a short walk, but I cannot be a jogging buddy. I love to be near you and enjoy pets and cuddles, but I am also pretty independent. Yes, I am as sweet as I look :).”
Photo viaRemus
Age: 1 year old / Breed: German Shepherd Dog Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: HART Animal Rescue
“Remus has tons of personality, and is a goofy young 1.5 year old, 48 pound, Shepherd mix who was rescued from a high intake shelter in West Virginia. I mean just look at the grin on his face! Remus is a fantastic dog and gets along great with other dogs, cats, and kids.”
Photo viaReba
Age: 6 years old / Breed: English Coonhound / Sex: Female / Rescue: Furgotten Dog Rescue
“Reba is guessed to be a 6-year-old English Coonhound. To meet her is to fall in love! She will literally give everyone she meets hugs and kisses. Not only is Reba a 100% sweetheart, but she is also great with dogs and kids. She has not been tested with cats. Reba loves going for walks. She walks well on a leash. Reba is crate trained but she is noisy in her crate. She is not for an apartment dweller. Reba came from a rural shelter in North Carolina.”
Photo viaGeorge
Age: 6 months old / Breed: Lab Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART)
“George was found as a stray with a fellow rescuer went to Georgia for vacation, hence his name! George is a stunning 5-6 month old Lab mix who is very dog friendly and gets along with kids just fine. He has not yet been tested with cats and appears to be mostly house trained.”
Photo viaLucy
Age: 8 years old / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Female / Rescue: Furgotten Dog Rescue
“Lucy ended up in rescue after her owner of 8 years unexpectedly passed away. He had Lucy since she was a puppy. Lucy is 8-years-old and weighs 40#. Her breed is unknown. Your guess is as good as ours. Lucy has not been socialized with many people so she barks at people she does not know. She has already made significant improvements in her foster home. Strangers can now pet her, but whoever adopts her will need to continue to work with, and socialize her. Lucy LOVES to go for walks. If shes not walking, you can find her laying around being a couch potato that she is.”
Photo viaPhoebe Champagne
Age: 3 years old / Breed: Boston Terrier Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Stray Haven
“Phoebe is a foster favorite. She is about 3 years old and is a Boston terrier mix. She loves her family and is sweet and calm. She does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but when she initially meets a new dog she can be very opinionated. We feel that it is important that she doesn’t go to a home with an alpha dog because it could start things off on the wrong paw. Phoebe is crate trained and doing good on her potty training skills, but a new environment will sometimes set those skills back.”
Photo viaSuzie
Age: 10 years old / Breed: Beagle Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Furgotten Dog Rescue
“Suzie is a couch potato and guard dog all in one. She has a very sweet and laid back personality but still has enough spunk in her to play in small spurts with her foster dog siblings. Suzie would not do well in a home with children. She is more of a love one person only kind of gal.”
Photo viaPierce
Age: Adult / Breed: Lab Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue
“Pierce is gorgeous and loving. Hes very much a puppy still who is so happy to see his people that he cant contain himself. When met with a spray bottle, he will not jump. He will most likely need a few days to settle in then he will become a very loyal buddy thats easy to read and train. If he is chosen by a family who is considerate of his quirks and patiently thinks through their responses, he will be a treasured family member in no time.”
Photo viaRadar
Age: 2 1/2 years old / Breed: Staffordshire Terrier / Sex: Male / Rescue: HALO (Helping Animals Lost & Orphaned)
“Im medium energy – I love to take naps on the couch but I also like to take walks. I love to chew on my toys and balls and Im obsessed with tennis balls. To be honest, I would do best with no other dogs in the home – I am selective I like the ladies!”
Photo viaGrainger
Age: Adult / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Male / Rescue: Joseph’s Legacy
“Hello, my name is Grainger and I am looking for my forever home. I would be a good companion as I like laying on laps. I do want to be the king of the castle so I would prefer a home without any other cats (I will probably beat them up.) I don’t know about dogs.”
Photo viaDerrick
Age: 5 years old / Breed: Feist/Schipperke Mix / Sex: Male / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART)
“Derrick was rescued from a high kill shelter in WV, is super dog-friendly, very sweet, and loves to cuddle! He enjoys chasing cats but believes it to be a game and is not aggressive towards them. The foster he had before coming to HART also indicated he’s housebroken. An x-ray shows that Derrick had been shot at one time, fragments still remain, but do not cause him any issues. To top that off, during Derrick’s dental cleaning, a tumor was found in his upper jaw. The biopsy revealed an aggressive type of cancer called Acanthomatous epulis. Derrick went under an additional surgery to remove the entire tumor and some of his upper jaw. The next biopsy showed that the entire tumor was removed so now Derrick is ready for his new loving, forever home!!”
Photo viaNimbus
Age: Adult / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Female / Rescue: Clermont Animal CARE Humane Society
“Nimbus is a friendly, outgoing lady. She loves pets and attention and wet food. The way to her heart is food and cuddles. She is social and would do well with other cats. While she hasn’t been around dogs, her temperament suggests she would do great with them! Nimbus is ready to settle down into her forever home after coming to us from a tough hoarding situation. After recovering from some medical issues, she has bounced back better than ever! Come”
Photo viaPolli
Age: Adult / Breed: Pit Mix / Sex: Female / Rescue: Joseph’s Legacy
“My name is Polli and I have a huge favor to ask you. Can you help me find my forever home? I have been with Josephs Legacy for 1 year and 4 months. Why hasnt my forever family found me yet? 2019 wasnt my year but maybe 2020 will finally be my time to shine. I have been searching for a forever home of my own since I was just a small little girl and still unable to find the family of my dreams.”
Photo viaFarah
Age: 1 year old / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Female / Rescue: Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART)
“Farah is a very loving, affectionate little girl. She likes to follow you around and sit near you. Farah rubs up against you purring as you pet her. Farah comes when you call her and even talks a little. Farah enjoys looking out the window and playing. She loves playing by herself, with other cats and her human. She loves tall cat trees, wet food, ribbons on a wand, toys moving under a blanket and toys that she can bat across the floor. She doesnt like being picked up but will tolerate it enough to be put in a carrier.”
Photo viaMaggie
Age: Adult / Breed: Unknown / Sex: Female / Rescue: Clermont Animal CARE Humane Society
“Maggie May is a firecracker! She is so playful and high energy- she would be great with an active household with kids. Maggie likes to be an only pet though and get all the attention and playtime- she isn’t fond of other cats or dogs! She likes toys, catnip, sitting on shoulders, and mealtime. She is friendly, playful, curious and active!”
