Through a partnership with SPCA Cincinnati, Total Quality Logistics (TQL) is sponsoring one free dog adoption for every day of 2022. That means 365 dogs will be able to find their forever home this year at no cost to their new family.
The SPCA is waiving their adoption fee, allowing the shelter to “focus solely on finding the perfect match for families,” says a release. Those interested in adopting a free dog will need to register on the SPCA’s website for the pup they want. A winner will be drawn by the SPCA every morning. The winner will then be able to set up an appointment with the shelter.
The SPCA has some amazing pups up for adoption right now, including one who was displaced by hurricane Ida and an 8-year-old boy named Jack O Lantern. See more furry faces below.

“Meet Scooter, our sweet little velcro baby! If it’s alright with you, he would like to scoot up close and never leave your side. He’s a cute little guy weighing in at about 40 pounds. He is gentle with kids, is fairly housebroken, loves to play with tennis balls and is a big couch potato. He does have separation anxiety and would do best in a home where he can stick to you like velcro! He shouldn’t be home alone often because he becomes stressed and can then become destructive. Scooter does not do well with cats, he thinks they kind of look like squirrels and wants to chase them. He’s a smart boy and knows how to sit, stay, and give both of his paws! If you’re ready to fall in love, scoot on out here and meet Scooter!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAElena

“Ello, it’s me Elena! I was transferred from a shelter down south when Hurricane Ida hit. I’m a cuddly little busy bee who likes treats and affection! We can go on walks everyday and flit from flower to flower. Wouldn’t you like someone to smell the roses with? Sure I’m getting older, but boy do I have a golden personality. If you ask to see me, I’ll smother you in kisses and show you why I should join your hive! I’m not sure if I like cats, but I love kids and can be friendly with dogs too. Bring in your dog(s) to see me if I sound like a good fit!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAGodiva

“Godiva is sweet as chocolate. She is a ball of energy. She loves to run and sniff everything. She loves the tug o war rope and entertains herself with it. She loves to fetch the tennis ball too. She is very curious about everything around her. She loves to run and is super goofy about it. She has Horner’s Syndrome affecting her left eye but it’s mostly cosmetic. Check out her cute video and you’ll see that nothing stops this girl! Come meet with her today. She is sure to melt your heart.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCARosco

“Meet me, handsome Rosco! I’m a sweetie who loves booty scratches, kisses and cuddles! I have the cutest wiggle when I get excited and would thrive in an active home! I’d love to go exploring with you on hikes and can play, play, play till the cows come home. I’m known to jump fences, so I should be monitored whenever I’m outside 🙂 I have a higher prey drive and shouldn’t go to a home with cats. If I sound like a good fit for you, stop by and see me today!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCALucky

“I’m Lucky! I arrived at another animal shelter as a stray. I was found by a nice gentleman in the woods and he took me home for a few days. Unfortunately, he was not able to keep me. However, he did name me “Lucky” and told the staff at the shelter what an AWESOME dog I am! I was then transferred here to find my furever home! I do get along with other dogs for the most part but cats and young children not so much, they can scare me. I can be protective of my toys so I need someone that will work with me about how toys are a thing to share! I would thrive in a calm environment where I can live out my golden years. I really am a sweet boy waiting to find my furever family!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAFloyd

“Hi I’m Floyd! I’m a young spunky guy who has the cutest ears in the shelter! I’m great with kids, but we’re not sure how I do with other dogs or cats. It’s recommended that you bring in any possible dog siblings so we can ensure we’re a good fit! I can be very well behaved if you ask me to be and I know how to sit! I mean have you looked at my Holiday photo?! I’m sure darn cute! I’ve been in the shelter for a little while so I will need a refresher when it comes to housebreaking. Stop by the shelter and you’ll see why we should be the best of friends!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCATeak

“You have found the perfect dog, you don’t need to look any further. Mo is perfect. He is the best and most gentle boy. He is kind, sweet, easy going and just the biggest cuddle bug. We here at the shelter dream of snuggling with him as the little spoon on the couch. He just wants to be around his humans and have a greenie to nibble on! He is extremely laid back and all around a great addition to any family! Mo needs to be the only dog in the home. If you want to meet Mo, come do it! You will not regret meeting this big headed angel!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCABeagley

“Hi, there! I am Beagley and I am a sweet little Beagle-Basset looking for my next furever home! I came here to the SPCA from another rescue organization, and they do not have much information on my background. We are unsure about my history around others or children, but I am very low energy guy that loves to cuddle and be held from time to time. I can be a bit shy at first but with some treats and time I will become your new best friend. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact the SPCA Sharonville Front Desk for more information. Thank you!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAJack O Lantern

There is nothing spooky about me, I am be deaf or really hard of hearing. I am a big sweetie that LOVES kids, I love playing with them, loving on them and just being near them. I am extremely gentle and can be a little timid in new situations, but with a bit of reassurance and love, I will open up and show my true loving self. He’s a huge cuddle bug, and wants to be near you at all times! If you have a couch for him to sprawl out on, he’ll give you tons of kisses!! He doesn’t do well with small animals, and small children can scare him too. His ideal environment would be a calm home where he can live out his golden years. “Hey there! My name is Denver, and I can’t wait to be your new best friend! I’m a big wiggly ball of happiness, and the staff here describes me as a Kiss Machine! I’m a senior guy, so I’d be happy just hanging out with you on the couch or going for short walks. A few things you should know about me: I’d love to be your only dog, so I can have your lap all to myself. I have a condition known as KCS (keratoconjunctivitis sicca), so I may need some additional care for my eyes, but don’t worry – it’s easy and I am such a good boy. I am also potty-trained. I am looking for my forever home where I can love you with every bit of me- and there sure is a lot there to love you with! Could I be the big boy to complete your family?” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAKenshin

“Meet Faith! This sweet girl is a is a 4 year old mix breed. She does well with kids and people in general. She has a lot of energy and would do best in an active home with plenty of space to run. Faith does not do well with cats or other dogs due to territorial behavior. She enjoys playing, hanging out with her people. She also like to curl up with her family at the end of the day and just snuggle and relax. Very sweet personality. If would like to meet Faith, please fill out an application and a member of our staff will contact you to schedule an appointment.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAAce

Age: 2 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Male
“Meet Jake! This big, beautiful 2-year-old boy arrived at our facility on 12-15-21. Jake came from the Kentucky Humane Society- which was running critically low on space as a result of the unprecedented tornados. Jake was a dog that was at the shelter prior to the tornados hitting and having him moved to our facility helped to make room for many displaced and unidentified animals across the state.
Since being in our care, we have learned quite a bit about Jake! For starters, he looooves his treats! He’s been easy to work with due to his treat-motivation and we have been working to improve his manners. Jake is also an incredibly active boy. He would adore a family that would take him on long walks around the parks in Greater Cincinnati- or maybe even camping trips across the United States! The ideal owner (or owners) for Jake would be someone that understands that this boy will need some work. It may not be easy, but it will be WORTH it. If you are ready to make the commitment to this boy for the long haul… don’t delay, apply today!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAMaizy
Age: 1 Year Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Female
“Meet Maizy this sweet girl is about a year old. She has a heart of Gold. She is very curious and treat motivated. She takes treats very gently. She knows come here. She can stand on her two legs like a person which is adorable. She walks well on a leash. We are unsure how she is with Kids, Cats and other dogs. She is sure to steal your heart.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCANelson
Age: 4 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Male
“Meet Nelson! This fun-loving guy is the life of the party… And he can also be the light of your life if you let him! Nelson is an energetic boy who adores squeaky toys, chicken treats and playing fetch. Nelson has shoawn positive potential with other dogs although he is rambunctious- so a mellow canine companion may not be compatible with him. Nelson was surrendered to us due to landlord issues and has been in our care for quite some time. He has saved the lives of some of our former residents; puppies that needed an emergency blood transfusion! Nelson is ready for someone to save him and give him a forever home. Could that person be you?” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAOxford
Age: 1 Year Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Male
“Oxford came to the shelter way too thin and pretty rough looking…. but just look at him. This boy is going to be so handsome with good food and care. Oxford is a friendly guy who enjoys being with people. He is great with friendly dogs and cats.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCAPlymouth
Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Male
“Plymouth is a happy, adorable 3 year old mixed breed with lots of energy. He loves playing fetch, going on walks, and having his ears stroked. He is housebroken and walks well on a harness. His front feet are like a basset hound so they are strong, and he is still learning to keep them on the ground when he gets excited. He is smart and treat motivated. Plymouth does not like cats, tags on toys or bedding (he will work until they are torn off), and he is afraid of trash trucks. He would love a fenced yard and a family who has plenty of time to play with him. We are not sure how he would do with another dog in the home, so you would need to bring your pooch for an introduction.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCARain

“Hello, I am Rain! I am looking for my next forever home and I am hoping that would be you. For a year old, I still have much of my puppy personality and I love attention and I love to play a lot. I am great playful companion for active households with lots of family members. I like long walks and prefer a lot of land to run on to get all my energy out. Keep in mind, I might be too much for your cats, because I think they are the BEST toys and want to play with them ALL of the time!!!!! I would do best in a home with plenty of room for me to have fun on. If you are interested in adopting or meeting me. Please contact the SPCA Sharonville Front Desk.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCARoxanne
Age: 3 Years Old / Breed: Mixed Breed / Sex: Female
“Look at this adorable girl! Her name is Roxanne! Roxanne is a chunky and sweet girl that is looking for her forever home. She was surrendered to the SPCA Cincinnati due to no fault of her own and now she is looking for a home that will welcome her with open arms. Roxanne is a such a loving and mellow girl, that loves spending time with her favorite person. She DOES NOT like cats and does not get along with other dogs. She prefers to be the queen of the house so she can get all of the lovin’ and kisses to herself. We think she would do best in a home with no kids too because of her size and energy. She does like to sniff and get to know her surroundings when she is on a small walk. We also heard that she is the best cuddler in town. So if you are looking for a sweet girl to relax with and watch Netflix, look no further! Fill out an application and a SPCA staff member will reach out to you to schedule an appointment to meet her!” Photo: Cincinnati SPCARufus

“Meet Rufus! He is a very curious, almost 2 year old, Large mixed breed. Rufus is a very active dog who loves to sniff everything, explore his surroundings, jumping and playing fetch. He’s not good with other dogs but adores kids! He also likes to chew foam beds and toys, so having lots of chew bones and Kongs is a must to keep him occupied. He does know a few tricks such as sit, stay, watch and break. Rufus is so eager to please his family, is easy going and just wants to be loved. He also makes the best cuddle buddy. If you would like to meet Rufus, please fill out an online application.” Photo: Cincinnati SPCA
