Northern Kentucky’s Frontier League Baseball team baseball the Florence Freedom officially changed its name last night. The team and city officials held a press conference to announce the new name and mascot. The team solicited fans for ideas and late last year they whittled the possible new name choices down to a top five.
Among the five final names, which included the Florence Go-Goettas, Fossil Jockeys, Yalls, Pop Flies and the No Sox, the winning pick was The Florence Y’alls.
