A new place to shop boutique-style clothing at affordable prices will soon open in Over-the-Rhine.
Dayton native Amanda Logan-Athmer has signed a lease with 3CDC for the space at 1209 Vine St., where she will open a Bobbles & Lace, a women’s clothing boutique franchise based in New England. Logan-Athmer says she has always had an affinity for fashion, but she didn’t think about opening a store until she came across a Bobbles & Lace boutique in Portland, Maine.
“I’ve never been a boutique shopper,” Logan-Athmer said in a press release. “I tend to look for items that are more affordable. I saw some items from Bobbles & Lace on a mannequin in Portland and fell in love — and the best part was that the clothes were both boutique-style and affordable.”
Bobbles & Lace offers clothing for every season and combines the everyday needs of the modern woman with stylish statement pieces. The OTR store will carry daywear, professional clothing, formalwear, jewelry, handbags and shoes for almost every age. Logan-Athmer says she also plans to carry Cincinnati-centric apparel, including those in colors that will let you show off your FC Cincinnati, Reds and Bengals pride.
The boutique will also offer individualized and complimentary personal styling sessions, as well as occasional community pop-up events. Shoppers can also book the boutique for private “Girls’ Night Out” shopping experiences, complete with champagne and snacks.
“Vine Street is an OTR shopping destination, especially for women’s apparel, and Bobbles & Lace is a valuable addition to the growing retail community in the neighborhood,” Joe Rudemiller, vice president of marketing and communications for 3CDC, said in the release. “Bobbles & Lace is also a woman-owned business that shares 3CDC’s desire to cater to a wide range of demographics by making their clothing accessible at an affordable price.”
Bobbles & Lace is expected to open later this spring. You can follow the shop on Instagram at @bobblesandlacecincinnati for more information.
