Cincinnati has been named one of the best cities in the Midwest by Midwest Living as part of its annual Best of the Midwest Awards, recognizing top travel and hospitality destinations across the region.
Two local establishments — A Tavola and Hotel Celare — also earned spots on this year’s list.
Selected by Midwest Living editors, the awards highlight nearly 150 established and emerging leaders in travel and hospitality. The honors span 16 categories, including hotels, restaurants, vacation destinations, cruise lines and cities that offer notable visitor experiences.
“This recognition confirms what we’ve always known — Cincy is the best of the Midwest,” said Julie Kirkpatrick, interim CEO of Visit Cincy and CEO of meetNKY. “People don’t just see our city, they feel it when they’re here.”
The recognition reflects Cincinnati’s growing reputation as a travel destination, known for its historic architecture, arts scene and culinary offerings along the Ohio River. Popular attractions include the Over-the-Rhine district, riverfront parks, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and Findlay Market.
The latest honor adds to a list of past local winners recognized by Midwest Living, including Wildweed, the American Sign Museum, Smale Riverfront Park, Kings Island, The Lytle Park Hotel and Over-the-Rhine.
The 2026 Best of the Midwest Awards are featured in the magazine’s spring issue and online.
