The well-documented cryptid story of the Frogman will be once again be celebrated this March in Loveland. Event organizer Jeff Craig has brought the festival back this year, building on past success and growing excitement around the event to expand the fest to two full days of activities.
On March 1 and 2, cryptid enthusiasts from all over the country will flock to the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland to celebrate the story of Frogman and learn more about cryptids.
A wide variety of speakers will be featured at the event, including authors that write about similar cryptid stories, along with a handful of folks that focus on these creatures from a more academic perspective. This will also be the first year that the Frogman Festival will feature entertainment, including live music and a puppet show. Over 60 vendors from all over the country (and even a few from other countries) will be at the event to share their art, clothing, jewelry and more, some of which is given a Frogman flair for the event.
With spring just around the corner, the Frogman Festival provides a great opportunity to get yourself out of the house to engage with a cultural phenomenon that is incredibly unique to Cincinnati.
While the event is not necessarily meant to prove the existence of the Frogman, Craig says the event is more meant to, “have fun with the legend and story, and appreciate it for what it is.”
“I feel the overall purpose of both the Frogman story and the festival is to help us all appreciate the things in the world that we don’t understand,” Craig says.
