On Tuesday-Wednesday, Nov. 11-12, Greater Cincinnati got the rare opportunity to see a colorful celestial light show, all thanks to a strong geomagnetic storm that caused Northern Lights (or the aurora borealis) to dance across the skies from Alaska, across the Western United States to the Midwest and all the way to the East Coast.

CityBeat asked our readers to send us photos of the stunning phenomenon, and they didn’t disappoint. We got photos of the sky lit in pinks, purples and greens from all across the Tri-State, and these photos are truly a sight to behold.
