This Halloween, your plans just got a little bit spookier, and tastier. Cincinnati’s Lloyd House Castle is hosting their Sinners and Saints-themed Halloween party on All Saints Day and is encouraging you to bring your best costume, heavenly dish and sinful drink.
The Lloyd House Castle is rich with Cincinnati history and has served as a hub for community events, small concerts and even weddings for many years.
Originally built in 1888 by James W. McLaughlin, the designer for the original Cincinnati Art Museum, the Lloyd House Castle was said to be owned by pharmacist and novelist Dr. John Uri Lloyd in the 1920s and ’30s.
But, after Dr. Lloyd’s ownership, the Lloyd House remained on the market for many years until Dr. Ellen O. Bierhorst’s family purchased the house in 1957, and have remained owners to this day.
The historic castle will undergo the ultimate spooky makeover with festival decorations, on-theme cocktails and plenty of creative costumes.
The Saints and Sinners Party will take place on Friday, Nov. 1 and will begin at 7 p.m.
