After being postponed from its usual January spot due to extreme winter weather, the Cincinnati Polar Plunge returns to The Banks once again this Saturday morning.
The annual event sees bold souls dive into a pool of icy waters just outside Holy Grail Tavern & Grille while raising funds to support year-round sports training, competition and leadership opportunities for Special Olympics athletes across Ohio.
It’s not just about the dive, though—you gotta look good too. Costume contests will take place during the event to award prizes to the wackiest, wildest and most wonderful outfits on display at the plunge.
Prospective participants can register online or at 9 a.m. March 21 at Holy Grail on the day of the event. At 10 a.m., the opening ceremony begins, and groups will begin jumping two at a time. The event will conclude at 1:30 p.m.
