Photos: Cincinnati Protesters Advocate for Israel-Hamas War Ceasefire

The Cincinnati Socialists, "an independent Marxist organization fighting for workers’ rights and the liberation of all oppressed people," hosted the National March to Free Palestine in Cincinnati's Ziegler Park on Nov. 4. Organizers and protesters attended the march to advocate for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. According to event organizer Ben Jarvis, there was also a secondary purpose to the march.

"We're here to express our solidarity with Palestinians," Jarvis told CityBeat. "We want to keep the pressure up for a ceasefire. That's our immediate demand and the most important thing in the short term. And then after that, we want to keep the pressure up to give the Palestinian people their land back. And we understand that that is the root cause of the conflict, and that's the solution long-term that we want."
