An award-winning fast-casual breakfast restaurant is opening in Greater Cincinnati next year.

Southern-style biscuit concept Vicious Biscuit was founded in 2018 in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. It’s best known for its hospitality and innovative biscuit sandwiches, like the Fat Boy (crispy fried chicken, pimento cheese and hot honey drizzle) and the Sea Biscuit (fried shrimp, sweet & spicy slaw, yum yum sauce, sesame and cilantro). Jacob Mulvey, who owns two McAlister’s Deli franchises in Dayton, Ohio, will open a Vicious Biscuit at 7240 Outfitters Way in West Chester in early 2026. It’ll be the third location in Ohio and the first in the Cincinnati area.

Mulvey says he’s eager to carry on his family’s tradition of restaurant excellence by expanding with Vicious Biscuit.

“We love the food, the people and the vibe of Vicious Biscuit,” Mulvey said in a press release. “It’s rare to find a brand of this size to have the operational depth of a major franchise player. From the support system to training, to the level of professionalism and team empowerment, Vicious Biscuit encompasses the same core values as we operate our other restaurant brand. All the elements combined are unique, and we’re looking forward to bringing the Southern biscuit charm to Cincinnati.”

Mulvey will be joined by general manager Arcelia Chavira, who helped lead operations at Mulvey’s McAlister’s Deli restaurants.

Once open, Vicious Biscuit’s operating hours will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

In addition to its biscuit creations, Vicious Biscuit also offers a signature Jam Bar, with custom fruit jams and house-made butters, as well as lighter dishes like yogurt bowls and omelets and sharables like the Pups, hush puppies that come either in Jalapeño Cheddar or Sweet (with powdered sugar and white chocolate custard).
