A West Side steakhouse that has been visited by stars and featured on the silver screen has been listed for sale.
Easy to spot thanks to its iconic sign featuring a steer holding a martini, Maury’s Tiny Cove has operated in Cheviot since 1949. The restaurant offers a menu of classic steakhouse options: tender, juicy steaks, seafood and chicken, plus pasta and the perfect martini. The vintage dining room appears to be untouched by time, making it the perfect addition to the ‘50s-set, Oscar-nominated 2015 movie Carol. It was part of a scene featuring both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara.
On Friday, Maury’s Tiny Cove’s owners, Matt Huesman, Angela Faillace and Matthew Huesman, announced on social media that they would be selling the restaurant after nearly two decades of ownership, writing they’re ready to retire from the business.
“We bought the restaurant 17 years ago and our journey from then till now has included meeting many wonderful people and making many great friends. Loyal guests are the heart and soul of Maury’s and we could not have succeeded without all of the support of our guests for all these years,” the team shared on Facebook.
The owners say they are not closing the restaurant and will operate it until they sell, adding the business is doing well and is profitable.
“It is our sincere hope that we may attract a buyer who will continue the Maury’s legacy and honor the traditions that have made it a Cincinnati icon for more than 75 years,” they said.
The restaurant is listed online by Dwyer Commercial Real Estate. Overall, the restaurant offers 5,400 total square feet, a seating capacity of over 200 and two bars, two levels of dining and a covered back patio. The building also has a newer roof and all the equipment is included. There’s also in-house catering.
The team is asking for $1.295 million. If interested, you can contact Dwyer at 513-784-1776.
