Downtown’s Fountain Square just welcomed a boozy new addition to its vibrant entertainment destination.
Fountain Square announced the opening of The Container Bar on Facebook on Aug. 24, welcoming folks visit the 20-foot-by-8-foot shipping-container-turned-bar located on the bustling square.
The new drinking spot, across from the restrooms, features a full-service bar, as well as seating both at the bar and at 10 tables surrounding it. The bar sports a grey exterior and a deep red color on the inside.
“The Container Bar is the perfect spot to grab a soft drink with lunch, enjoy Happy Hour before dinner downtown or gather with friends at one of Fountain Squares hundreds of free events throughout the year,” the Facebook post reads.
Fountain Square hosts live entertainment nearly every night of the week, including Fountain Feud, Reggae Wednesdays, trivia nights, Salsa on the Square, live bands on Fridays and Saturdays and more.
