East Walnut Hills is losing another restaurant after tropical-themed Solstice announced its closure Monday.

Solstice opened in the former Suzie Wong’s space in late June. The restaurant, which served up taco-style dishes featuring ingredients from different tropical regions, was the second venture of 3B4D Hospitality Group, which also owns Anjou, also in East Walnut Hills. Its last day will be Thursday, March 14.

3B4D shared the news of the closure on social media, saying the restaurant did not experience the growth it needed to stay open.

“It is with heavy hearts we announce that we will be closing our doors permanently. It has been an amazing 9 months being able to bring flavors of the tropics to our neighborhood but unfortunately, we have not experienced the growth needed to continue this journey. We cannot thank you enough for your support and are grateful to have shared this experience with you,” the restaurant wrote.

“Most importantly, we want to thank our Solstice family, without who, we could never have made any of this happen. Their dedication and passion for what we do is what made this such a special place and such a struggle for us to make this decision.”

Solstice will be open for its final services Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
