It seems like only yesterday that a beautiful new distillery/restaurant opened its doors in Fairfax. But, alas, an entire year has passed since Karrikin Spirits Co. first began gracing the fine people of Cincinnati with its house-made hard sodas, beers, spirits and top-notch eats.

They're celebrating with a One Year Revelry on Dec. 7, featuring an evening of live music, giveaways, guest chefs and giving back.

Some of Cincinnati's most prized chefs will be in attendance alongside executive chef Chris Davis, serving up tasty dishes to accompany a selection of craft cocktails — old and new — and craft beer from Karrikin and other local breweries, plus a selection of special sparkling spirits which will be released throughout the evening. The sparkling drinks include peach hibiscus (available at 4 p.m.); raspberry rhubarb and Ora (5 p.m.); Rosie Red (6 p.m.); chile key lime (7 p.m.); watermelon ginger and Blaze at (8 p.m.); plus a special new release at 9 p.m.

Guests can enjoy live music from  6-11 p.m. by The Burning Caravan, a four-piece Gypsy Jazz band based in Cincinnati.

Karrikin is partnering with The Dragonfly Foundation, which raises funds for patients with pediatric cancer and bone marrow transplants and their families. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation.

Admission to the anniversary party is free, but Karrikin encourages guests to make reservations in advance.
