Just in time for Valentine’s Day, OpenTable has released its top “100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America” list for 2025, and four Cincinnati restaurants are on it.
OpenTable is an online restaurant reservation and review service that offers up city guides, news, tips and tricks, awards and more throughout the restaurant world. The unranked list of the 100 most romantic restaurants features eateries from 34 states, plus Puerto Rico.
“Valentine’s Day planning just got easier — explore the restaurants across the country where sparks are guaranteed to fly,” writes OpenTable.
Two romantic Cincinnati heavyweights, Carlo & Johnny in Montgomery and Primavista in East Price Hill, returned to the list for 2025. Carlo & Johnny has been featured on the list for several years running and Primavista made the list in 2024. This year, Boca in downtown Cincinnati and Jag’s Steak & Seafood in West Chester also made it onto the list.
Ohio’s just a romantic place to have dinner in general, apparently. Five other restaurants from the Buckeye State made the list — Lindey’s, Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse, Mitchell’s Ocean Club and Cento in Columbus and Pier W in Cleveland. Giuseppe’s Ristorante Italiano in Lexington, Kentucky, and Vida in Indianapolis were also named among the country’s most romantic eateries.
OpenTable says it created the list by analyzing over 13 million reviews on its site.
