You can get a preview of Covington’s newest board game bar at a special event this January.

Dice on Draft is a soon-to-open venture from McKenzie Crist and her husband, DJ Stanley. Crist told LINK nky in September that the bar will merge her passion for tabletop gaming with her love of bringing people together, offering patrons a place to escape reality and use their imaginations for a couple of hours. Once open, the bar will offer over 200 free-to-play board games, a private room for tabletop RPGs and a variety of drinks, including beer, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic options.

On Saturday, Jan. 31, Dice on Draft will host a ticketed Dry January preview ahead of its grand opening, still to be announced, allowing attendees to experience the space early, as well as the chance to win door prizes. No alcohol will be served at the event, but tickets will include a flight of four mocktails, plus unlimited soft drinks and access to the bar’s board game library.

There will be two seatings for Dice on Draft’s preview: one in the afternoon from 2-6 p.m. and another one in the evening from 7-11 p.m. Tickets are currently still available for both, and prices range from $23 for a single bar seat to $290 for a VIP private room. Children are allowed to attend with a guardian, but once Dice on Draft opens, it will be 21-plus.

Your ticket also includes an entry to win door prizes. At each seating, one person will win two Bailey tickets to an FC Cincinnati game, as well as a $100 Dice on Draft gift card. Three people will win $50 gift cards.
