Gorilla Cinema Bringing Imaginative Cocktails and New Kitchen to Covington Yard

Gorilla Cinema Presents has announced a partnership with Covington Yard that they are dubbing “GC in 3D at Covington Yard.”

Popular outdoor establishment Covington Yard is getting a new kitchen and some imaginative cocktails.

Gorilla Cinema Presents has announced a partnership with Covington Yard that they are dubbing “GC in 3D at Covington Yard.” On top of amped-up cocktails, reminiscent of Gorilla Cinema’s other ventures like Tokyo Kitty, Tiki Tiki Bang Bang and Cosmic Gorilla, this concept will bring a new kitchen and design to the yard.

“We’re very excited to partner with such a great concept and venue so that we can bring the unique programming and cocktail offerings that people expect from Gorilla Cinema,” says Gorilla Cinema’s owner Jacob Treviño in a release.

If the new cocktails weren't exciting enough, Covington Yard is also getting a new kitchen run by a Gorilla Cinema Presents alum Chris Whitehead. Talon’s Chicken + Waffles, which will focus on sweet and savory dishes, wings and desserts, is set to open in June.

This new kitchen will be the fourth operating out of repurposed shipping containers within Covington Yard. The space is currently home to Hangry Omar’s Sliders, Mr. Bulgogi Korean BBQ, and Nacho Average Taco Cart.

Check out the dog-friendly bar at the GC in 3D launch party May 27 from 7-11 p.m. There will be live movies, art installations and a DJ celebrating the new cocktail menu and newly-redecorated containers.

Covington Yard is located at 401 Greenup St., Covington. Find more information at covingtonyard.com.
