Get ready to melt: Cincinnati fast-casual grilled cheese chain Tom & Chee is opening its sixth area location this fall.

While there aren’t opening date details besides the season, the newest storefront will be located in Oakley Station and span 1,400 square feet.

The 22-seater destination will be the “latest example of Tom & Chee’s new ‘&Crafted’ restaurant design that integrates both natural and contemporary elements to convey the brand’s modern comfort food appeal,” says a release.

“Tom & Chee has always been fueled by two things: creating modern twists on nostalgic comfort food favorites and delivering a fun, great meal for our guests,” says Roger David, President and CEO of GSR Brands, the parent organization of Tom & Chee. “This new Oakley Station restaurant allows us to bring our crave-worthy melts, soups, salads and donuts, and our modern approach to comfort food to yet another pocket of Cincinnati.”

Along with the modern vibe, this Tom & Chee will also offer delivery and curbside pick-up.

Famous for its unique sandwich toppings (from “fancy cheeses” to Grippo’s potato chips) and the infamous grilled cheese donut, Tom & Chee has made waves since its humble beginnings as a Fountain Square vendor in 2009. Founders Trew Quackenbush and Corey Ward rose to national fame in 2013, when they pitched their business to Shark Tank investors in hopes of striking a deal and expanding the franchise.

As of 2017, Tom & Chee is owned by the parent company of Gold Star chili.

In addition to gooey cheese sandwiched between carbs, the chain also offers salads, classic tomato soup and over-the-top concoctions like the Bacon Mac & Chee Melt, featuring cheddar and mozzarella cheeses in addition to a slathering of homemade macaroni and cheese and bacon on white bread.

Tom & Chee Oakley Station will be located at 3200 Vandercar Way, Oakley. Get more details at tomandchee.com or apply for a job at tomandchee.com/join-the-team.
