It seems like Greater Cincinnati has become one of the Mayor of Flavortown Guy Fieri’s favorite stops on his mission to find the best Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Gastropub Northside Yacht Club is the most recent Cincinnati restaurant to announce that it’s appearing on the popular Food Network show.
Northside Yacht Club is best known for its little-bit-naughty, little-bit-rock ‘n roll aesthetic and as a chill spot to kick your feet up with a drink and a plate of something greasy and delicious. The landlocked yacht club serves up classics like sandwiches, burgers, wings and fries, as well as vegan and gluten-free options. They also have an extensive craft cocktail list — including their infamous peanut butter tequila shooter – and brunch on the weekends.
“Big news from the NSYC! The rumors are true — @guyfieri is coming to your favorite landlocked yacht club!” owner Stuart Mackenzie shared on social media Thursday. “Tune in Friday, August 29 to catch us on @FoodNetwork’s #DDD and see what Guy’s eating at the club. We’ll be dropping teasers and sneak peeks a week or two before it airs, so stay tuned!”
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, also known by its nickname, Triple D, features Emmy-award winning TV presenter and restaurateur Guy Fieri traveling across the country in search of the best eats at greasy spoons, hidden gem restaurants and vintage eateries. Northside Yacht Club will appear in Season 42, Episode 4, titled Soup, Salad and Sorbet Spins on Friday, Aug. 29 at 9 p.m.
“In Cincinnati, a funky joint with nautical flair is platin’ prime-time pulled pork poutine, mouthwatering mustard smash burgers, and savory sesame-ginger cauliflower wings,” reads the episode description.
Northside Yacht Club is the third local restaurant to be featured in the newest season of Triple D. Ft. Michell Italian restaurant Camporosso appeared in the first episode of the season on July 11. Fieri tried the restaurant’s primo pancetta bucatini and a “next-level” Neapolitan pie. If you missed that episode, it will air on The Food Network’s channel on Friday, Aug. 22 at 11:30 p.m., or you can watch it with your TV provider’s information on watch.foodnetwork.com.
Walnut Hills restaurant The Pickled Pig will also appear in an upcoming episode on Aug. 22 at 9 p.m., and Asian fusion bakery and restaurant Cafe Mochiko was featured on the past season of Triple D earlier this summer, where Fieri tried the BBQ Snow Pork Bao and Cincy-style ramen.
