It's a beer. No, it's a cider. No, it's a seltzer. Still no. Then what the heck is it?
Cincinnati brewery Rhinegeist will be releasing a new line of hard craft beverages dubbed "RGBevs" with a party at the taproom from March 25-27.
Creating an alcoholic drink category of their own, Rhinegeist describes RGBevs as "uniquely crafted from a clear malt base with blends of real fruit and natural flavors to showcase a range of bright, fruity, juicy profiles that deliver refreshing and intense real fruit flavor," per a press release.
“Rhinegeist is all about bringing flavor back with our new RGBevs,” says Tracey Ireland, Director of Marketing at Rhinegeist, in a release. “A series of consumer panels and employee trials showed clearly that people are looking for more flavorful alternatives in the ‘beyond beer’ space. These intense, full-flavored beverages are breaking the rules regarding what a craft brewery is expected to produce, and we’re eager to get them out to consumers to try for themselves."
The public can experience the RGBevs March 25-27 inside the Rhinegeist taproom in OTR. To celebrate the launch, Rhinegeist staff members have transformed the brewery into a set of three immersive installations, each with interactive games and activities to learn more about RGBevs' unique flavor notes.Rhinegeist is located at 1910 Elm St. in Over-the-Rhine.
